Karen Alldredge

​Karen has been involved in the prehistoric art form of basket weaving for over 20 years. She teaches basket weaving classes, lectures on the history of the craft, and shows her baskets in several galleries throughout the Roaring Fork Valley and at the Redstone Art Show.            
 
Traditional and functional baskets used throughout our nation’s history are her specialty.  Karen feels baskets hold the history of man, evoking a reminder of a simpler life, and are fine companions, humble with an artistic nature. Simple things seem to work best in life; this is definitely true of baskets.
