Tour of Ute Muesem and Shavano Valley Rock Art Site
Travel & Carpool
For those interested in carpooling to Montrose, meet at the Redstone Inn at 9:00.
Meet Up & Eat Lunch
The group will meet at Hangin Tree Deli at 11:00, across the Highway from the Ute Museum (it’s an old gas station).
Ute Museum & Shavano Valley Rock Art Site
From there, we will visit the Ute Museum around noon. The tour to Shavano Valley Rock Art Site will begin at 1:00. The drive to the site is about 15 minutes. There will be short walks up to see the Prehistoric Art. We can go back through the museum after the tour if we don’t finish before.
Cost & Other Details
Please wear good hiking boots and bring drinking water.
The cost is $5 for admission to the Ute Muesum, $25 for the tour of the Shavano Valley Rock Art Site as well as the cost of your own lunch at the deli.

FREE to ATTEND! - Participants will need to cover the cost of food, $5 admission, and $25 tour.
Transportation - A carpool from Redstone to Montrose will be leaving the Redstone Inn at 9:00 am on Wednesday, October 4. Individuals wishing to drive themselves should meet at Hangin Tree Deli at 17250 US-550, Montrose, CO at 11:00am
